Starting with bouquets and soft toys, to designing and creating my own line of unique dolls and patterns. Our journey as a business has only just begun and we hope you follow us along as we learn more and create new things.
In January of 2023 I began learning how to crochet as a hobby to make cute toys and clothes for my friends and myself. I learnt the basic skills and stitches through YouTube tutorials and quickly started freehanding my own designs soon after starting. In February 2024 I decided to sell crochet tulip bouquets on my Instagram for Valentines Day, officially starting Lox Crochet! The past few years of my journey has been a completely new experience, learning how to single handedly manage an entire business but it has been worth every single second. Through all the ups & downs, I am still learning new skills every day and only hope to keep expanding not only my existence but a community that can love my products as much as I do.
My name is Olivia Kassidis, I am 22 years old from Sydney, Australia and I am the one-woman-show behind Lox Crochet. I do not just own the business as I am the one hand crafting every single product, managing social media accounts, packing/shipping every order, writing patterns, editing videos, website developing and being your one and only customer support person. I have loved arts, crafts and anything creative my entire life. From drawing and painting, to dancing and playing music, to poetry and journaling, I've perused forms of creative freedom for as long as I can remember. 2 years ago, I picked up crocheting as "just another hobby" and could've NEVER predicted it would allow me to start my own business or work within the creative arts industry at all! Lox Crochet has truly become my child and although I definitely spend too much time working (and need to touch some grass) I am so proud of how far we have come and the support we receive from our community.
